Affirmations should be a part of everybody’s daily self care regime.

The power of affirmations goes beyond the conscious mind, penetrating the subconscious and allowing you to truly believe in yourself and your capabilities. They can be used to increase the positive energy in and around you, and they can also aid in changing your mentality, benefiting in a stronger mental capacity.

By choosing positivity over negativity, you are trusting the universe and yourself fully and completely. In order to feel the effects of the affirmations however, you have to talk to yourself with conviction. You have to believe the affirmations with your whole being.

3 things to remember before committing to any affirmations:

Positive affirmations are always in the present tense.

Positive affirmations only include positive words.

Positive affirmations are to always be spoken as statements of fact and truth.

When you come across an affirmation that makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s a good sign that it’s probably exactly the affirmation you need to repeat.

Below are 20 of my personal favorite affirmations that I try to tell myself throughout every day:

  8. I easily accomplish all of my goals.
  9. My thoughts and feelings are nourishing.
  10. I am present in every moment.

If any of these affirmations catch your eye or seem relevant to your life, repeat them up to 3 times a day, every day.

When you find yourself unconsciously thinking negative thoughts, acknowledge them and change your train of though immediately. Say something positive, powerful, and uplifting instead. You’ll notice right away how your mindset shifts as well and you become more confident in yourself. Affirmations are another form of self care, as they help you in becoming the best version of yourself.
